Behind the Scenes - DAME Bio

DAME never could have gotten off the ground without the help of several great people. Lisette has been instrumental in the execution of the DAME concept from buying to logo development to PR Materials. She is one of the most talented people I've ever met. Be sure to check out some of her Art and collaborations at Rogue Femme Art.

Here she is in her own words:

I am a west coast transplant to JP via the rural south. My artistic exploits are truly a result of a similarly wide range of influences, a fevered alchemical combination of processes that all inform one another. I started life in the theatre, and now work primarily as an independent animator. But any given day I also have my hands deep in some form of costuming, photography and graphic design. Transformation of objects and spaces from the mundane to the deliciously dramatic is where my artistic heart is. Whether I'm locked in my studio for days on end creating another world frame by frame, casting latex masks, or orchestrating a really rock and roll vintage fashion photo shoot- all my work seeks to amplify some excellent transformation to a heightened aesthetic experience. I've had an artist's field day shopping, designing and photographing for Dame this year. Beautiful women and men in beautiful vintage clothing under the umbrella of such a solid aesthetic vision-- and I was able to exercise so many different skills throughout the development of the brand (logo design, font decisions, the business card, the clothing tags, and numerous shoots and fliers)-- And it's really awesome to get to contribute to another independent JP woman's fantastic work! Hot Dame! What a dream! You can get in touch with me, pitch projects and visit my work at Rogue Femme Art.
