Fun Vintage ski finds

For anyone with an upcoming ski/play trip. All kinds of fun stuff. Still on the hunt for kitchy ski sweaters.

In celebration of Snow

Being of hearty New England stock, I love the snow. I don't know if I could ever live without the peace of Winter. It coincides so perfectly with the New Year and symbolizes, to me, a period of sleep and rebirth. Spring is like a free do-over every year.

I'm a winter sports kinda girl: ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, snowman making, fort building, snowball fights, the whole deal.
Inspired by all the snow we've been getting this season I went looking for vintage ski wear and totally hit the jackpot with this:

There are tons of pics on the listing. The set is too cool for words. It reminds me of all those romantic vintage images of sporting outfits, which made any event, skiing, skating, bathing, riding... look like just another excuse to get dressed up. I must admit there is a part of me that misses this idea, however unpractical it may be.

Shoe of the Day- Do you wear a 7.5?

The Urban Collection is an online vintage clothing shop I like to browse. Dree has a clear POV and has an interesting take on stylizing vintage looks. Check out her shop and see what you think.

For today, I want to spotlight this gorgeous pair of Vintage Frye's she has for sale on the site. Being the Dame of Frye that I am. I couldn't resisit. Maybe someone I know and love is a 7.5??
