Meet the Artist Reception Thursday May 7th 5-8
Nikki Belfiglio grew up in the Mid-Hudson valley region of New York, inspired by her photography teacher Sue Foss, she began taking photographs. With her teacher's constant support and loads of artistic freedom, Nikki learned the art of Black & White fine art photography and found her stepping-stone into the art world. After being awarded a grant from the School of the Museum of Fine arts Nikki came to Boston to study photography and to explore the mediums of Film, Painting, Sculpture, Performance and many other arts thanks to the Museums School's unique system of learning. Nikki is most often inspired by the location in which she finds herself. Her film, "Time in Science" shot in Super 8 and filmed on the streets in Science park, shows the beauty of light and movement of an industrial area and was recently exhibited in the film Annual at the MFA.
